Moving Just Got Easier…
The Virtual Survey mobile app allows you to video chat with a United moving expert, enabling them to assess your moving needs and estimate the cost of your move remotely. We make it easy to get your custom moving quote quickly and on your time. Receive all of the benefits of an in-person estimate, but with the ease of simply using your phone or tablet.
STEP 1 – Download the Virtual Survey app to your phone or tablet
Apple Device Android DeviceSTEP 2 – Things to do before your Virtual Survey:
- Download the Virtual Survey app.
- Make sure your phone or tablet is fully charged.
- Make sure that you have a strong Wi-Fi signal. If you are not connected to Wi-Fi, data charges may apply.
- Turn on the lights in all of the rooms that you will be showing to your estimator.
- Open all cabinets and closets for items inside that you will need us to move.
- Have a tape measure on hand, just in case your estimator needs you to measure an item for accuracy.
STEP 3 – Be prepared to:
- Receive a link sent by email or text from your estimator on the day of your Virtual Survey. When you click that link, the Virtual Survey app that you downloaded will launch and your video call will begin.
- Show your estimator all of the rooms in your home, including storage areas, garage, shed, attic and yard.
- Let your estimator know exactly which items will need to be loaded onto the moving truck and which items will not.
- Disclose any valuables that are greater than $100 per pound (e.g. antiques, fine china, designer apparel, etc.).
- Indicate any items that are delicate or easily breakable.
- Show your estimator the outside area of your home to examine accessibility from your home to the moving truck.
